Life is Too Short!

Sunday, 9-5-2010, a couple of guys that I went to school with (who are my age) got in a bad car wreck. One of the died, the other in critical condition. I wasn't really friends with them in high school but I had classes with them and associated with them from time to time. but this incident really got me thinking...what if I died today? What do I have to show for my life here on earth? Sure, i have a great husband and 2 boys that I love with all my heart, but is that enough? have i really lived my life to the absolute fullest or have I just taken life and everyone in my life for granted, not truly appreciating everyone and everything I have?
Everyday I am alive, it is a gift! Life is way too short. You never know when it will be your time to leave this earth. I just hope that when it is my time to go home, I will have lived my life to the fullest and i have done what God has put me here to do. So when I get to heaven and look God in the eyes, he will say, "I am so proud of the way you lived your life!" So from now on, I am going to try my best to live each and every day like it is my last! And I am going to do my best to live for God!
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.

RIP Zach and may Kyle have a full recovery!

  1. I love Galations 2:20. When my body dies and I go to Heaven I want to my Father to say, "well done thou good and faithful servant." Thank you for posting this reminder Melissa!

  2. Liss, I am so sorry to hear about this. The good thing is that it got you to thinking...as it did me. And like Jenifer said, I so want to hear my heavenly Father say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant!"
