30 Days to Understanding The Bible by Max Anders is simply AMAZING! For a long time in the beginning of my christian walk, I felt like the Bible bounced back and forth, and the stories were all out of order. Some things I didn't quite understand. I just felt overwhelmed sometimes. This book helps you understand the structure of the Bible, as well as the timeline of events, the main people of the Bible, and the doctrines. Each chapter gives a lot of information to take in, however, at the end of every chapter, there is a summary, as well as a fill-in-the-blank self test and review, so you can remember the information that you have read. There are story lines, maps, charts, pictures and graphs in this book to make it even easier to visualize and remember. And at the end of the book, there is an appendix, where you can read the basics of the Bible.
While reading and studying this book, the puzzle pieces of the Bible that may be scattered in your mind, will soon be put together and make more sense. You will have a new perspective on the content of the Bible and will be able to more clearly study the word of God. And that is a powerful thing!! I wish I had this book when I was a new christian because this is a complete game changer! I would highly recommend this book to new Christians, as well as those more established in their walk with the Lord. Even Bible scholars will get something from reading this book!
