Getting Back in the Game

I can't believe it has been over two years already since I wrote my first and only blog post. I have had the desire to write but lacked the time, energy and/or thoughts to do so. I have been told that I need to start writing again... so with that being said, here I am. As I am sitting here trying to think of a topic I should write about, nothing comes to mind. It's like I have writers block, and I don't even consider myself a writer. I think my biggest problem is that I don't think I have anything to say, that will benefit or help anyone. In my opinion, I don't have much to offer when it comes to inspiring people or making them think. That is something I am going to have to work on as I continue to get back to writing. I don't plan on posting every day but I will try to every now and then. If anyone has any tips on getting the ball rolling when it comes to writing and blogging I would love to hear them! You wouldn't think that it would be that hard to write a blog, and put your thoughts down for all to see...but to me that is very difficult. I am not a very outgoing person. I tend of keep my thoughts to myself a lot of the time, afraid of looking stupid or indifferent. Not to mention I am very shy, especially to those who arn't closest to me. So yes, for me this is a different world! My hope for this blog is to encourage, inspire and let God shine through the words that I write, in hopes that I can reach at least one person and lead them to Christ. I find it hard to walk up to people and start sharing my faith, so hopefully I can do so by writing. Like I previously mentioned, I am very shy...so this is a huge step for me. I enjoy writing and I am looking forward to getting back in the game!

  1. I am so excited to see you back in the 'bloggy world.' And I pray that you will see how special you are. You have so much to offer. You are a truly wonderful woman of God and I pray that you will begin to let Him give you a Godly boldness. Many women (and men) will be blessed by you as you let God work through you!

Love you and am so proud of you!

  2. Melissa, so excited to see you posting!!! I have seen you come out of your shell, even if just a little {smiles}, over the last couple of years. I have also seen God do so much in your life. He will give you the words to say. And what I have learned is that if your message is just for one person or one hundred people, God will bring who ever He wants to your blog.
